Thursday 25, 2010

Hey everyone,

Chris is doing great in his physio worked really hard Monday and Tuesday yesterday morning started slow but came alive for the physio session. The therapist and Chris are on the same wave length he loves those physio times. Pool was slow and relaxing in the afternoon, made for a relaxed and tired evening, as he was sleeping on and off during the hockey game. Today we start with morning stretching and then head right to the pool, then out and on to the tilt table for an hour long session of interactive moving and working on head control for the neck muscles. Before this session ends we will do some chest therapy and trunk control.

Lunch time and relaxing then up on the cycle for a cardio workout and then a shave. Better get going or I will be late, by the way still no word on any of the promises made by the government and Fraser Health. I will let you know as soon as I find out any news.

Kevin

Hi Kevin and Chris: Just wanted to check in and let you know you both are always present in my thoughts. Even though I'm American, I had to give a big yell of happiness when the Canadian women won hockey gold. I was thinking of Chris all through that game. All of us in the Cottage Hospital family send much love.

Just for any Ministry of Health people who might be following this Blog: "How bloody disrespectful for other human beings, to let stuff drag on like this, without letting anyone know what is going on.! Funding supposedly ran out Feb 15th, so no one could blame the Staff at Halvar Jonson, were they to once again "wind down" Christopher's treatments, in anticipation of his transfer back to B.C., so they could PLAN ahead, as they do, for the care and treatment of other existing, and incoming, patients. Thank goodness they actually care about people, use common sense, and have respect for other human beings.
The B.C. Ministry of Health and their agencies, workers, sundry non-medical puppets and administrators continue to fiddle fart around, trying to come up with some program that is "comparable" to the care Christopher is receiving in Alberta. To their great surprise it is pretty difficult to come up with something, in a Province that is so far behind in Medical Care, that they think they are first.! Why in the Hell can they not figure out, why it was in the first place, that Kevin fought so hard, to get him transferred to Alberta.??
If it aint broke... don't fix it.!! As long as they have a bed available in Alberta, let them carry on with the success they have been having, as Recommended by the Alberta and B.C. Doctors, Healthcare Professionals, as stated by the Minister of Health or his Office.! Or was this all just a bunch more Bullshit.!!!???
Sorry - enough is enough ! Time to bring the Media back on, big and strong.! Everything I am seeing or hearing to date, would incicate our Ministry of Health still has a Secret Agenda going on, to somehow get Christopher transferred back to B.C. under false pretenses; then wait for a "trial period" and place him into extended care, as they have always wanted to do.!
Then there is ICBC, with our "no fault" insurance ...... completely gumming up the works, with their lawyers with their heads stuck up where the sun does not shine.!
Okay... I am off the soapbox for now; almost time to watch the hockey game. Go Canada; Go..!!
Get rid of Slovakia; we want another shot at those USA guys.
