Still no word guys, I cannot even find words to express my disgust in the delaying tactics. Do they think they are negotiating with a world power? It just blows my mind how arrogant and non- caring the government really is. They can make false statements, issue releases that have no truth and hide every chance they get so they do not have to face the truth.
It took less than two hours on November 27, 2009 for them to reach their last decision to cancel Chris' funding. Even with all the material before them. It would seem they did not get the support they wanted.
Now I know why people would go on stress leave and not be able to work.
Is it really fair?
Hopefully we will get a positive response tomorrow.
Good night,
Kevin

No decision yet, eh ??
Seems we are talking about a lack of respect for other people.... Chris, and his whole family, the Doctors, therapists, and others involved in his care at Halvar Jonson. The B.C. Health Ministry obviously does not realize it takes a couple of weeks to "wind down" and then as/if/when funding is approved, to "wind up" all his therapies and treatments, to properly schedule them for maximum benefit, and to fit in with their already busy schedules looking after others. Fortunately, this time around Halvar Jonson has maintained his complete schedule, rather than winding down over approx 2 weeks prior to Jan 15th, in order to re-asign their resources to other patients who also require attention.
Thank you Halvar Jonson for your patience and understanding ... We WAIT, and WAIT for the courtesy of a response from the B.C. Ministry of Health.
Waiting with fingers crossed for a POSITIVE decision/response that should have been a no-brainer, and in hand some time ago.
Good Friday afternoon Kevin and Chris.
If you are still there, give Chris a hug from me.
Have you heard anything yet?
Along with Pat, I too thank everyone at HJCBI for their patience, understanding, and their continued excellent care of Chris.
We wait...
Cheers to everyone!
Love,
Larry
